Gegründet 2006 in den östlichen Vororten von Melbourne, Australien, sind HARLOTT ein hervorragendes Beispiel für das Thrash-Metal-Genre der jüngsten Generation. Inspiriert von der Bay-Area-Thrash-Szene der 80er-Jahre, vermischt mit teutonischer Melodie und Härte, liegt ihr Fokus auf energiegeladener Up-Tempo-Musik mit lyrischen Einflüssen aus Krieg, Religion, Chaos und dem menschlichen Dasein. Unvergleichliche Live-Konzerte, ein aggressiver Sound mit Wiedererkennungswert, erstklassige Musikalität und ihr klassischer "Aussie"-Humor haben HARLOTT eine starke und engagierte Fangemeinde eingebracht, die täglich weiter anwächst.

Nach zwei erfolgreichen Europatouren (2015 mit Annihilator, 2018 mit Havok) und zahlreichen Auftritten als Opener für weitere Größen der Metalszene (Accept, Sepultura, Overkill, Dark Angel, Children of Bodom), kehren die inzwischen etablierten Thrash-Veteranen auf eigene Faust zurück, um ihr aktuelles Album, "Detritus of the Final Age" (erschienen 2020), zu promoten. Fans dürfen die gleiche ungebändigte Wut wie vor fünf Jahren erwarten, gepaart mit der kathartischen Wirkung der Texte, die sich angesichts der jüngsten globalen Pandemie so aktuell wie nie präsentieren.

BLOODSPOT aus Limburg an der Lahn zelebrieren im Kern die rohe und dunkle Seite des

Thrash Metal. Genre-Konventionen zum Trotz, erweitert die Band stets die emotionalen Grenzen ihres Sounds und lässt mehr und mehr genrefremde Stilistiken mit einfließen.

Seit der Gründung in 2006 haben sich BLOODSPOT, seit jeher dem DIY verschrieben, von

einer Rumpel-Band aus der Provinz zu einer beachtenswerten und kampferprobten Größe im deutschen und internationalen Metal-Underground entwickelt. So landete der virale Youtube-Hit "Volcanos" jüngst im neuen Film des Kult-Regisseurs Abel Ferrara, der im Februar 2020 auf den internationalen Filmfestspielen in Berlin für Furore sorgte.

Live sind BLOODSPOT in den letzten beiden Jahren u.a. mit dem US-Hardcore-Urgestein PRO PAIN, den international aufstrebenden Thrashern DUST BOLT und den für einen Grammy nominierten SIBIIR aus Norwegen unterwegs.

Auf den bisherigen Veröffentlichungen (eine EP, drei Alben) stechen neben Thrash Metal

besonders Einflüsse aus Death Metal und Hardcore aus dem Bandsound hervor. Der übliche Thrash/Death-Sound der Band verbindet sich mit einer düsteren, punkigen Rohheit und einer zähen, doomigen Schwere. Eine bedrohliche Melange, welche die sozialkritischen Inhalte um globale Ausbeutungsprozesse eindrücklich zu transportieren weiß. BLOODSPOT bleiben weiterhin ungeschminkt ehrlich. Unnötiger Schnickschnack, Szene und Image waren für diese Band schon immer weitestgehend unbedeutend. Brutalität, Groove, Abgrund und Liebe dagegen absolut maßgeblich.

Lange hat es im Hexenkessel gebrodelt, bevor sich die musikalische Vision von Bandleader NC mit einem 2022 vervollständigten, stabilen Lineup verwirklichen konnte: Den Abend eröffnen werden WITCHKRIEG aus Mainz, zu deren Einflüssen Accept, Venom, Aura Noir, Celtic Frost, Saxon, Destruction, Judas Priest und Immortal zählen. Nach ihrer ersten Feuertaufe im April werden sie nun am 03. Juli mit ihrem Blackened Thrash Metal dafür sorgen, dass im Elfer Club bereits zu früher Stunde gewaltig die Fetzen fliegen.

Taking their inspiration from the 80’s bay area thrash scene, and blending it with Teutonic melody and grit, they focus on high energy, up-tempo music with lyrical influences from war, religion, chaos and the human condition. Unrivalled live concerts, an aggressive recognizable sound, clinical musicianship, and a classic ‘Aussie’ sense of humour have earned HARLOTT a strong and dedicated fan base, which continues to grow day to day.

After two successful European tours (2015 with Annihilator, 2018 with Havok), as well as numerous performances opening for other giants of the metal scene (Accept, Sepultura, Overkill, Dark Angel, Children of Bodom), the by now established thrash veterans return on their own to promote their latest album, ‘Detritus of the Final Age’ (released in 2020). Fans can expect the same unbridled fury as five years ago, coupled with the cathartic effect of lyrics which are more relevant than ever in the light of the recent global pandemic.

Bloodspot from Germany essentially celebrate the raw and dark side of thrash metal. Defying

the narrow conventions of the genre, the band constantly endeavours to expand the emotional scope of their sound and include elements from an increasingly extensive array of different genres. Since their inception in 2006, Bloodspot have come a long way and are now

undoubtedly a force reckoned with in the German and international metal underground.

So far, Bloodspot have unleashed four releases (one EP, three full-length albums), sporting a mix of thrash and death metal with an unmistakable hardcore edge to it. The familiar thrash/death-melange blends with a sombre and raw punk attitude and a grinding, doomy heaviness, creating a menacingly multi-faceted vehicle for the socially critical messages about global mechanisms of exploitation, oppression and greed. Bloodspot continue to be unabashedly honest. Image and scene conventions have never had any place in their no-frills attitude. It’s all about groove, brutality, darkness and love.

It took a long time in the witches' cauldron before the musical vision of bandleader NC could be realised with a stable line-up completed in 2022: WITCHKRIEG from Mainz, whose influences include Accept, Venom, Aura Noir, Celtic Frost, Saxon, Destruction, Judas Priest and Immortal, will open the evening. After their first baptism of fire in April, their blackened thrash metal will make sure that the sparks fly at an early hour already in the Elfer Club on 3 July.
