Heat only where you are - Instead of heating rooms, just heat the zone you are in within the room

At fior we want to improve life through flooring. In the past year we have filed 3 patents for a unique heating technology in rugs which is efficient (low energy consumption), safe (extra electrical safety layer) and sustainable (completely recyclable).

Our goal: reducing the room temperature 2 °C while at the same time using our heated rugs 8% of energy and 11% of CO2 can be saved.

Our first zonal heating product - the playzone: HAPU - a heatable kids rug

Our heatable and sustainable HAPU kids rug. In many kid rooms the floor is cold and heating up the whole room is not only expensive, the floor stays mostly cold. For the kids to have fun we have developed the HAPU, it can be easily heated by a press on a button, it consumes 10 times less energy than a standard fan heater and has an extra electrical security built in, so that even sharp or heavy objects would not bother the HAPU.

The HAPU top layer is made from 100% cotton and hence recyclable. We specifically avoided to use any glue which reduces the rug lifetime but enables its recyclability. Also, each layer of the heating technology is made from one material and can therefore be recycled.

We believe in improving life through flooring. Rugs have a 2000+ year history and we want to add a next level of technology to it. Our team consists of Persian artists and German engineers. We embrace this diversity to drive this change.
